Our Model
FiftyFold (through Aprender con Interés) discovered the Tutorial Relationships (la relación tutora or tutoría) model the medium that can be accessed by any teacher or group of students that want to focus on human relationships in teaching and learning.

Our Programs
School-based Programs
One main part of our work is working with educational leaders, teachers, families, and young people in public schools. We currently have four schools in our network in Thailand and continue to support their work on the ground, providing curriculum design support and pedagogical capacity building to sharpen our work in Tutoría within the school contexts. Our capacity building work includes: workshops, in-classroom support, one-on-one problem solving, and collectively dreaming about what our classrooms and schools could be.

Land and Family-based Programs
Learning takes place in the contexts of land, family, and community. We see families and family-based design of curriculum and school well-being initiatives as central to teaching and learning. Over the past decade, we have walked and storied lands with families through land and family-based teacher education (supported by an 2021 AERA Educational Service grant), engaged in curriculum design in school alongside families, and facilitated family co-design sessions to better understand the complex socioecological histories of place (what places and practices are important to families, what ecosystems sustain them) and how to support schools being in right relationships with families and communities.

Advocacy and Capacity building
Beyond the work with schools and families, we also participate in advancing dialogue and discussion on what learning could and should be like – learning that is based in deep relationships, learning based on consent, learning that celebrates the intellectual expertise of everyday practices, art, and spaces of creation, learning that contributes to multiple dimensions of health and well-being of families and communities. We organize master classes, learning festivals, and also in conjunction with the documentary Unteachable, speak on panels with communities interested in these issues of educational health, learning, and justice.
